You are correct. We must strive to do what we love and for me it is showing people how they can design and build green energy efficient structures and communities that are profitable for everyone not just the people with the most money.
I show developers how to make more money and spend less upfront by being better for the environment. There are many of the low impact development (LID) practices that do just that, save you money.
