Have you ever heard of Energy Efficient Mortgages? Yes they do exist!
Whether you are going the Conventional or FHA route, there’s a program for you.
FHA’s Energy Efficient Mortgage program (EEM) helps homebuyers or homeowners save money on utility bills by enabling them to finance the cost of adding energy efficiency features to new or existing housing as part of their FHA insured home purchase or refinancing mortgage.
Conventional EEMs can be offered by lenders who sell their loans to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Conventional EEMs increase the purchasing power of buying an energy efficient home by allowing the lender to increase the borrower’s income by a dollar amount equal to the estimated energy savings
The Veteran’s Administration (VA) EEM is available to qualified military personnel, reservists and veterans for energy improvements when purchasing an existing home. The VA EEM caps energy improvements at $3,000–$6,000. Borrowers should ask their lender about a VA EEM at the beginning of the lending process.
We have a list of lenders we can refer you to. The Vaghela Group with Supreme Lending is a great place for your financing needs. Feel free to give them a call to start the application process today. They have some of the fastest turn-around times and lowest rates in the industry.

This is such a great resource that you are providing and you give it away for free. I enjoy seeing websites that understand the value of providing a prime resource for free. I truly loved reading your post. Thanks!
this post is very usefull thx!
Like this post – I am highly interested in the EEM’s policy and if it has any opportunities for developers or new home construction incentives. Any help or ideas in that area would be useful. We recently had some plans drawn up for the residential portion for the New Mexico’s Spaceport America but lost the bid to a mix of UK and American developers. We are very interested in the south west and energy efficient housing. Keep casting your green shadow -
